Frédéric Farrucci’s movie La Nuit Venue was the first time Rone and the director worked together. The result was a gratifying César Award for Best Original Music. “I was delighted when Frédéric Farrucci called me back to compose the music for his second feature film, Le Mohican. This invitation had a special resonance for me, as I have always been fascinated by long-term collaborations between directors and composers. These relationships allow for the development of a unique universe, film after film” Rone expresses.
For this modern western, Rone composed a soundtrack where the electronic sounds of synthesizers meet the strings and choirs of classical orchestration. Alternating between organic textures and stripped-back melodic motifs, these six tracks capture the film’s dramatic tension and raw beauty. the music follows the Corsican landscapes and the characters’ emotions with accuracy and intensity. The film Le Mohican will be released in French cinemas on February 12, 2025, after being presented in premiere at the Venice International Film Festival.
