Murcof’s new album Twin Color leans into a crunchy, motorik sound and ‘Fight’ perfectly encapsulates the sonic landscape of the album, giving listeners a sneak peek into his world.
Born from a drone sound he created while working on a sci-fi exploration game soundtrack in 2019, ‘Fight’ evolves into a richly textured soundscape. Alina, his daughter, lends her voice to the song, entwining with the metallic drone that anchors the song, giving it an emotion-filled resonance.
The single is accompanied by an official video directed by Simon Geilfus, using video material from their A/V performance of the same name, which premiered at Mutek Montreal at the end of August 2024.
