Toh Imago’s track Cosmos Intra, from his forthcoming album Refuge, takes classic Detroit Electro and flips it upside down with anarchistic Jungle breaks.
« Cosmos Intra » refers to a personal “inner cosmos”, something that the producer describes himself as “a messy thing only we can understand.” Re-amping samples through the reverberant airwaves of the forest, and creating percussion from the sound of broken glass, Toh Imago melds the metaphorical world he has imagined with a real, physical space that he seeks his own refuge in.
