In Heba’s words:

Born and raised in Egypt, Heba Kadry is a mastering engineer who currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. Heba has become known for her work with experimental and forward-thinking independent musicians. She has worked with notable artists such as Bjork, Sade, Gorilla, Bon Iver, John Cale, Sade, Daniel Caesar, Sufjan Stevens, Slowdive and many more. She is passionate about working on an analog mastering console and employing analog tape layback mastering techniques along with a modern hybrid approach.

Mary and Julianna are artists I have worked with now for over 10 years and are now both dear friends of mine. The fact that they are now collaborating on a long awaited LP is like everyone’s dream come true. When I got the text about mastering it… I was like ‘Holy shit, yes! What took so long?’ Mastering and engineering albums with your friends you admire is always the coolest thing… like truly the coolest thing.

This is such a special record, Trevor’s mixes were fantastic and really captures their immense talent but more importantly their deep friendship. My job was to preserve that as much as possible in that master but also shine some light on all the angles that bring it splendour to the forefront. I absolutely can’t wait for everyone to bathe in its beauty.”
