After Evaporator, his seventh album released last February, Nathan Fake returns with “Caldera,” the first single from his upcoming self-titled EP, due October 23, 2026 on InFiné.
Written at Christmas 2025, “Caldera” explores a more wild, nocturnal and intense side of the artist’s universe. Its unstable rhythm, clattering percussion and off-kilter kicks create a constant sense of tension, like molten matter ready to erupt. Slipping synths and strange textures reinforce the feeling of a volcanic landscape in motion.
Across the four-track EP, Nathan Fake continues the experimentation he began on Evaporator. Blending electronica, techno and acoustic textures, “Palau,” “GongGong” and “Slow Yamaha Dub” take this exploration in psychedelic, soothing and more abrasive directions.
“Caldera” is out August 25, 2026, ahead of the full EP release on October 23, 2026 via InFiné.
