Pianist Vanessa Wagner releases her new album Figures of Glass (Piano Etudes – Edits) on March 13, 2026. Drawn from her complete recording of the Piano Etudes by Philip Glass, this selection of edited versions offers a new way of approaching these landmark works of minimalist music.
Rather than reducing the pieces, these edits aim to refine the listening experience and highlight their emotional intensity, tightening the sense of time while preserving the essence of Glass’s writing.
Developed alongside a stage project created with the Scale collective, Figures of Glass also explores a dialogue between piano, light and space, turning minimalist structures into an immersive sensory experience.
The stage creation will premiere on April 7, 2026 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
