With this record, the leading figure in contemporary electronic music takes a luminous turn, moving away from the nocturnal and rave-driven atmospheres of his previous projects to offer what he describes as “daytime aerial music.”

Conceived as an open-air album, Evaporator explores vast, organic soundscapes, blending deep electronics, ambient techno, and more accessible touches. Among its eleven tracks are “Aiwa,” “Hypercube,” and “The Ice House,” as well as two notable collaborations: “Baltasound” with Dextro and “Orbiting Meadows” with Clark.

Staying true to his instinctive approach and vintage production tools, Nathan Fake delivers a record that is both introspective and expansive. After more than twenty years in the industry, Evaporator reaffirms his taste for sonic exploration and marks a new chapter in his artistic journey.

Nathan Fake says about “Yucon”, the focus track of the album: “It was written on a synth, just playing a melody improvised and adapting it until i had a solid loop. The choir-ish pad sound comes from my toy Casio keyboard. I sampled one note of it and made it into a soft pad sound using a software sampler. It’s definitely one of my favourite melodies i’ve ever written.. It feels like every chord change has a different emotion.”
