Léonie Pernet’s new single, “Réparer le monde,” is a hope-inducing ballad that took root in a time of darkness. Overwhelmed by the relentless flood of war images we face daily, Pernet sat down to compose a song, grappling with the horrors that haunt us all and reflecting on the question: “Est-ce qu’il nous incombe de réparer un peu le monde?”—Is it our responsibility to mend the world, even just a little?
The question was asked prior to the single’s release, when Léonie sat down in front of a piano at Gare du Lyon to play “Réparer le monde” to passengers.
With “Réparer le monde,” Pernet returns to the lyrical and poetic sensibilities that have always set her apart. The single offers a first glimpse of her upcoming album Poèmes Pulvérisés, due for 2025.
