Vanessa Wagner announces new album with first single “The Poet Acts” (Philip Glass)

French pianist Vanessa Wagner announces the release of a new album on InFiné, with a first piece by Philip Glass Listen to “The Poet Acts”

Quickly following March 2022’s Study of the Invisible album, Vanessa Wagner returns with “The Poet Acts”, a Philip Glass composition taken from 2002 soundtrack he scored for The Hours. The track, coming from her forthcoming album ‘Mirrored’, finds Wagner conjuring the nested melodies of Glass’ original piece with her masterful touch. The stripped down, solo piano version of this piece which has reached a high level of ubiquity even for a composer like Glass, manages to stand out in thanks to Vanessa’s virtuosic skill and discipline as a pianist.

Vanessa Wagner collects solo piano studies of graceful minimalism and rare finesse, including pieces by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Nico Muhly, Léo Ferré, Moondog, Camille Pepin, Melaine Dalibert

This new album has been recorded at TAP-Théâtre-Auditorium de Poitiers and entirely produced in Dolby Atmos version.
